Sarah has over 25 years educational experience teaching a wide variety of instruments to professional level. Current and former students perform with national ensembles and have achieved places for further study - including scholarships - at the UK’s top Conservatoires.

Sarah is an external examiner and panelist for Trinity Laban, Guildhall, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and the Royal Academy of Music. Sarah is a mentor for the London Musical Theatre Orchestra Development Scheme.

In January 2013 Sarah was appointed Saxophone tutor at the Junior department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Prior to this, Sarah taught at the Junior department of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, the University of Warwick, and at a number of leading independent schools in London and the South East - including Bedales, Lady Eleanor Holles School, Highgate School and (currently) North London Collegiate School. More recently Sarah has been appointed a Visiting Consultant at Radley College.

Sarah is very proud to be associated with both the National Children’s Concert Band and the National Youth Concert Band of Great Britain - and has acted as saxophone and Lead Woodwind tutor for both bands since 2021.
